The starting whistle sounds but the finish-line is in sight

We were delighted to welcome Keith Mutabazi from the Fields of Life office in Kampala to Ireland recently. Keith extended a very warm welcome to us when we were in Uganda just over a year ago and it was great to see him again. He was able to bring us up to date on the school project and let us know that the first 4 classroom block is now complete and in use. We were also very touched to hear that the name of the school has been changed to the Mount Everest Kitandwe School and we have to agree that this is an appropriately inspiring name for a school were young travellers on the adventure of life learn to reach new heights.

Congratulations and well done to our very international Dublin City Marathon 2008 Team (Laura Gravino, Simon Monds, Martha Kurpisz, Mary McKee, and John Costello). Everyone completed the race and we are delighted and very appreciative that you all chose to run on behalf of Fields of Life.

Last Thursday we also had some other very successful fundraising in the form of a "Social Singles" night in the Mez Bar in SamSara. Thanks to all who so enthusiastically took part for such a good cause!

Over the coming months we will be having Skydives and Paintball battles to bring us ever closer to our target and as always your support in this would be hugely appreciated.
